As a guide, the strip, clean and rebuild of a Two Stroke Engine will cost in the region of £85 + vat for the labour only Plus parts. This is for you the customer to supply the engine alone and does not include the removal and refitting in to the chassis. If an engine has been unlucky enough to have sucked in an amount of sand or dust, then from our expierience, it will need fully rebuilding. Too often have customers just wanted a new piston kit and main bearing's with seals to have the "bigend" go within a very short space of time. Most 125cc piston kits are now £85 - £100 with gasket top sets £20 - £30. Full KTM Engine sets include seals and are £60 - £80. Genuine main bearing's are £50 - £70 and "Conrod" kits are £100 upwards for a good pattern one with genuine KTM bieng £150 upwards. Conrod "Pressing" is approx £28 Upwards.

 Generally the turnaround time on stripping, servicing and rebuilding a Two Stroke Engine is within a week or slightly more. Any engine which requires a cylinder re-plate will cost £130 + vat upwards plus the labour to strip and replace all the Power Valve Mechanism's (£30 and upwards).  Cylider replate turnaround is approximatly two weeks but we try to aim that a customer will only miss one weekend's racing.

Sometimes we can offer an exchange barrel that has allready been replated if we have one available and that yours is damage free.
